The iCentre co-ordinates the purchasing and distribution of Book Hire resources to support teaching and learning, which include both physical and digital resources. These are issued to students upon teacher request at the beginning of each year, and as required during the year.
These resources remain the property of the school, and are required to be returned at the end of each year to facilitate maintenance and preparation for borrowing for the following year. No student should have any Book Hire resources on loan over the Christmas school holiday period.
Students are required to sign the Book Hire borrowing record inside each resource and are responsible for that particular resource. Students must return their own resources and not another student’s resources. Failure to do so will incur a replacement cost reimbursement to the school. Outstanding overdues will be charged to the student’s school fees account.
It is school policy that students are not issued with new Book Hire resources until they have returned or replaced any outstanding items. Items on loan from Book Hire can be viewed online via the Library OPAC website by entering the student barcode and “research” as the password.
